Toolz is a collection of productivity utilities for macOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data Toolz accesses and how it is handled.

Data Collection

Toolz collects no data whatsoever. Specifically:

No personal information is collected
No usage analytics or telemetry
No crash reports sent to us
No advertising or tracking
No network requests to our servers
No account or registration required

Local Data

Toolz stores the following data locally on your Mac only, using macOS UserDefaults:

Keyboard shortcuts — Your custom hotkey preferences
Clipboard history — Recent clipboard items (text and images), stored in memory only and cleared when the app quits
Timer settings — Your focus and break duration preferences

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Permissions

Toolz may request the following macOS permissions:

Screen Recording — Required by TextScanz (OCR) and ColorPikz (color picker) to capture screen content. Screen content is processed locally and never transmitted.
Accessibility — Required for global keyboard shortcuts to function system-wide.

Third-Party Services

Toolz does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms. The app functions entirely offline.

Children's Privacy

Toolz does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Since Toolz collects no data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
